Sometimes, domain configuration verification fails for a few reasons. Below are the most common verification failure cases and how to handle them.

1. Verification fails due to ‘Search Console table not found’
You can click ‘Retry Verification’ to proceed. If the verification still fails, you will need to wait 24 to 48 hours for the data to become available in BigQuery.

This verification failure usually occurs because the GA4 or GSC datasets are not yet available in BigQuery.

To check if your GSC and GA4 data is available, please visit Step 7: GSC & GA4 Data Export Check.

2. Verification failed due to ‘No datasets found in your project’.
You can click ‘Back’ and then ‘Save & Verify’ again. If the verification still fails, you will need to check that your GSC and GA4 connections to the Google Cloud Platform were performed correctly.

Make sure you have connected GA4 and GSC properly by following this step: Connect GA4 & GSC to Google Cloud Platform.

This verification failure usually occurs because the GA4 or GSC datasets have not been created or are not properly connected to BigQuery.
